Cyprus Convention 2013

As Nikken Business Builders from across Europe made their way to Paphos, Cyprus, the luxury beachside Coral Beach Hotel and Resort was laced with KenkoAir systems and PiMag Waterfalls. As guests arrived, a positive energy in the atmosphere seemed to rise. Workshops were planned throughout the stay and proved extremely successful. Seeing the Consultants network with one another, sharing their own stories, goals and plans with each other really was heartening.

Presidents Club

Being a member of the Presidents Club meant that they were treated to an extra day in this beautiful country. A workshop allowed members to share future ideas and plans as well as personal stories before moving on to a hot stone experience at the Award Winning Oliveto Restaurant. It really was an energising way to get the week started.

Convention

The energy at the convention was incredible. The liveliness alone was enough to make the convention a success. As presenters bought their own specialities to the stage, the consultants were enthusiastic to not only listen and learn, but encourage one another too. New Products, the Future of Nikken, Success Stories, Website Plans and so much more was discussed throughout the convention, but the energy levels did not seem to drop.

Gala Dinner

Between the Convention and the Gala Dinner, consultants and staff transformed in to Gods and Goddesses. With Nikken branded Toga’s, Greek Dancing and Entertainment, the theme of the night was really bought together. Consultants and staff alike danced long in to the night, the perfect end to a great week!

Cyprus Comes Closer…

You can now start counting down the months left until the Nikken Leadership Convention. January isn’t that far away so we hope you are working hard, as it coming to the end our leadership contest too. Monday, January 14th 2013 is when our Presidents Club consultants will be arriving; a welcome drinks/reception will be taking place to greet you into this exciting environment.

Tuesday will continue on with the other winning consultants arriving where we will get you registered and checked in. There will be a Presidents Club meeting plus a welcome drinks reception for the main group of consultants (this is the opportunity to sign up to the Excursion to The House of Dionysius – A beautiful villa filled with Mosaic decorations and Mythological compositions). Mosaic making will also be available on site at the hotel. There are many options to experience Paphos fully; Paphos Archaeological Museum if you after some culture, Pafos Zoo if you want to reconnect with nature and plenty of Art galleries, it is up to you, have look at for yourselves – http://www.visitpafos.org.cy/default.aspx

Day 3 (Wednesday) of the trip is a free day for excursions and Consultant led workshops, you can either enjoy the glowing views of Paphos or enjoy learning even more about Nikken to plan yourself for 2013.

Day 4 (Thursday) is the big day of the convention, running all day; you will experience, our speakers including the Master Tonic Chinese Herbalist Roger Drummer and our CEO Kurt Fulle, and find out about a new product range ahead of everyone else. There will also be recognition for our top consultants. The day will end with a fabulous cocktail reception running into Gala dinner with some great entertainment & a DJ till the early hours of the morning, so you can dance the night away.

Final Day (Friday) will give you another day to relax and enjoy the atmosphere of Paphos with excursions available, along with the opportunity to take part in more Consultant led workshops. This will all leave you feeling relaxed on your last day. Finishing off the day will be a farewell dinner, where you can celebrate one last time how fantastic you have all been.

Kick off 2013 in Cyprus!

Cyprus is known as ‘the playground of the gods’, and for good reason too – Aphrodite is said to have risen out of the water near Paphos. We will be taking our ‘Nikken gods’ to Paphos, Cyprus for the Nikken Leadership Convention 2013 (15 to 19 January)!

Known as the year-round island, Cyprus lies at the crossroads of three continents – where East meets West and new experiences are always waiting to be discovered. There is so much to do on this beautiful island that it is difficult to know where to start.

Did you know?

  • Archaeological evidence suggests that people first lived on the island of Cyprus 10,000 years ago.
  • The English crusader, King Richard the Lionheart, wed Queen Joanna at Limassol Castle on 12 May, 1191. To this day it is the only foreign venue at which an English Royal Wedding has been hosted.
  • 371 species of bird can be seen on the island of Cyprus.
  • Cyprus is home to 20 rare species of orchid.
  • 260 species of fish circle the warm Mediterranean waters around Cyprus.
  • More than 45 beaches on Cyprus have been awarded the EU Blue Flag for cleanliness and safety.

Cyprus is known for its sandy beaches, but there is so much more to it than that! Get out and enjoy nature by going trekking or riding around the picturesque villages to take in the gorgeous scenery. If you’re interested in history and archaeology then this is the place for you! There are so many churches and ruins to explore like the House of Dionysius – a must see for every visitor to Paphos.

Lying between the harbour and the lighthouse, the House of Dionysius lies within a Roman villa filled with mosaics of various mythological compositions. Thus how it got its name of Dionysius, the god of wine! But it’s not just Dionysius you’ll find here, also be on the lookout for Narcissus, Poseidon, Apollo, and countless others.

The Cypriot night life is rich and varied ranging in everything from discos to traditional tavernas, where you can try local foods and drinks such as kolokasi, commandaria, and of course halloumi! Eating out to capture the local flavour is the high point of the holiday. The meze with its olives and dips is always the starting point. Quite often followed by fish of some sort, moussaka, and it only keeps going. Cyprus’ location allows its food to combine foreign and local flavours for something really special!

March Product Launch Events – A Recap

Nikken held a series of launch events across Europe in March, which allowed Consultants and guests an exclusive preview to our new water filtration technologies (PiMag® Waterfall and a new look PiMag® Optimiser) as well as the Powerchip™ (which features Nikken’s exclusive DynaFlux Magnetic Technology) before they went on sale 2 April. Each event showcased an environmentally-friendly product display area complete with banners and most importantly our new products! To create extra excitement these products and displays were raffled off at the conclusion of each event, giving everyone the chance to take some great Nikken products/merchandise home for free!

In addition to the Nikken-hosted events, Silver and above Consultants were invited to host their own launch events with the benefits of; conference call support from Nikken, access to a launch host area for event materials, a host pack, and a 10% discount given on any orders taken at their events. In total we had 36 Consultant hosted events all across Europe including: Tampere, Barcelona, Oslo, Aix-en-Provence, and London!

Nikken hosted 4 successful, full-day events (Paris, Frankfurt, Vienna, and Sargans) and 1 evening workshop in Utrecht. These events were a mixture of product launches, recognition, and motivational speeches from guest speakers (such as famed nutritionist Roger Drummer) and Nikken Consultants.

Paris (3 March) – The first of the Nikken-hosted launches kicked off at Hotel Marriott with Anthony Chaplin, Managing Director, and guest speaker, Tom ‘Big Al’ Schreiter! We had over 300 attendees at the event which generated over 130 on-site orders that day!

Frankfurt (10 March) – The event held at the Carathotel had 107 attendees, 68 orders and some great energy! Ben Woodward, Sales Director, closed the event with a special message on goal setting!

Utrecht (14 March) – Rob Knaven & Reini Beverdam-Knaven aided Nikken with this evening launch at the Carlton President Hotel. 48 attendees turned up to see guest speaker Roger Drummer discuss the Nikken products and the great benefits our technologies with 15 orders placed.

Vienna (17 March) – Hosted at the Austria Trend Hotel Ananas, Steffi Heim, German Region Sales Manager, was joined by Ben Woodward and Roger Drummer to discusses the products and inspire Consultants and guests. 47 orders were produced from 72 attendees!

Sargans (31 March) – 95 attendees joined Steffi Heim and Ben Woodward at the Swiss Heidi Hotel for a full day packed with new products, Consultant panels, and recognition. It was a positive atmosphere which produced 54 on-site orders!

Creating & delivering your own successful events

We’re well into our Product Launch month where many events are taking place across Europe, whether these are Nikken hosted or Consultant hosted events; and so far, all events have been extremely successful!

So far Nikken have hosted events in Paris with guest speaker Tom Schreiter, followed by Frankfurt, Utrecht with guest speaker Roger Drummer and this weekend in Vienna. The last in the line-up of Nikken hosted events is in Sargans, Switzerland on 31 March!

As an events team we are tasked with the promotion of the events, the logistics of the events; to include travel arrangements, hotels and more, as well as production at the event, and evaluating the event afterwards. Of course, if you’re a Consultant arranging your own hosted events then you too will be involved in all of this!

If you’re hosting your own launch event this month, take a look at our handy Event Guide which we’ve put together and is available in various languages. This can be found on our new website here (If you scroll to the bottom of the page you’ll find the downloadable PDF ‘Event Guide’).

Additionally, if you are a Launch Host, you’ll have access to the Product Launch Host site where you can download this document under ‘Other’.

Here are some key points to consider when hosting your own event, taken from the Event Guide: 

1.       Outline your objectives – What do you want to get out of the event? How many new sign-ups? Do you have a sales target in mind?

2.       Event Location – Is this right for your target audience and event? Is it within easy reach via public transport and is there necessary parking for those driving?

3.       Hotel Facilities – Are drinks, snacks and lunch included in the event programme at the hotel? Have you budgeted for this?

4.       Equipment – What equipment do you need for your launch? Chairs, tables, laptop, sound equipment, projector are just some of the things you may need to setup.

5.       Guest speakers – Guest speakers can add so much to an event; they can offer motivation and key product knowledge.

6.       Evaluation – How did it go? How did you think it went and more importantly, how did your audience think it went? Provide event questionnaires for your attendees to fill out at the end of the event and remember to thank them for their time. Take many photos to share and finally – celebrate your achievements!

Event #1 in Paris: Fantastique!

The first of the Nikken hosted events was held at the Hotel Marriott in Paris on Saturday and what a wonderful, inspiring and energetic event it was! The team have FINALLY unpacked after arriving safely back to the UK and are now getting prepared for the next event in the line-up at the Carathotel, Frankfurt.

In Paris, we had over 300 people in the audience who reacted positively to our guest speaker Tom ‘Big Al’ Schreiter (he visited the event all the way from Houston!)

The crowd were highly motivated by Tom, and the excitement grew throughout the event for the big product launch reveal and raffle finale! At the event we created a product display area with our environmentally-friendly Nikken displays and banners which showcased what everyone had been waiting for – the new products.

We collected over 130 orders on-site that day, with the special 10% discount on the new products.
