5 Tips on How to Get the Best Out of Your Nikken Now Session

This time last year we introduced a new activity called Nikken Now. Its purpose is simple – to get teams together in order to act NOW on the most critical activities in the business. It has been met with huge success and many teams across Europe are now leading the way with their own Nikken Now sessions every week.

I would like to suggest a few tips that can really help you create BIG results:

1. Where ever possible – get your teams together in person. We suggest teams of up to 10, but if you have more then great. You can meet in someones home so there is no need for spending money on a venue. The benefit of meeting in person is it intensifies the energy and bonds the group together. Plus, you can provide immediate recognition for people that attend and that can have MASSIVE benefits. If you cannot meet together in person, then get creative with technology and make it as personal as possible.

2. Get your objective right! The primary purpose of a Nikken Now session is to invite people to a business presentation within the next seven days with the objective of having them partner with you as a business builder. I have seen lots of people set many appointments that do not result in anything because the appointment lacks purpose or a direct invitation to act. We must use every appointment to invite our prospects to do something. Ideally, we want them to join the business and enroll as new business builders.

3. Make it fun! I have seen some great ways of making these sessions fun. For example, people put €5 in a pot as they join the session in their team and the person who sets the most appointments that night gets the contents of the pot. Others bring something to eat or drink and they have a nice social time after the event as they share experiences and offer recognition.

4. Follow up! The real key to the success of this event is in the follow up. As a leader of a session be sure to get the details of appointments from your team so you can follow up and encourage their success. As a participant – keep the appointments and prepare your presentation well. Use ABC’s where possible to improve the Prospects experience. Remember your objective – you want business partners.

5. Work towards the law of thirds. Those that master this process see an average of one new enrolment to every three appointments booked. When you can achieve these targets you can get a real feel for how to grow your business every week. I would encourage you to make this a consistent team activity every week. It keeps energy up, brings new people in, keeps your activities centred on profit generating work and leads you towards your goals better than anything else (when you do it right!)

I am pleased to say that Nikken is hosting a European wide Nikken Now session on Wednesday the 27th of February at 7pm Central European time , 6pm GMT across ALL of Europe! Please go online to MyNikken to get the dial in numbers and instructions. Get your teams prepared and be ready to join the rest of Europe in growing you business with purpose. Use these tips and see the benefits straight away!

Are You Ready for 2013?

The New Year is upon us and Nikken is set for an incredible 2013. Immediately, my thoughts turn to our need to be united in our cause and willing to shout from the roof tops our mission of helping others to become more. In just a few short days I will be setting out for Cyprus to celebrate with our winners of the 2012 Travel Incentive. We will be announcing some amazing plans for this year which are designed to help you move your business forward.

Here are some key headlines for you: First, we have, as you may have already seen in MyNikken, a business incentive that is running for the first quarter of this year. It is critical that everyone gets involved with this and spreads the word. For so many reasons. Firstly, it is designed to support your goals of building your business. It works as an overlay that adds value and benefits to your existing plans to develop your business. It focuses on critical activities such as recruiting, retailing and retention. It is simple and easy to explain and the rewards are immediate. You can get free product as a customer or cash in your pocket if you are a business builder. If you are ambitious – you can get a FREE ticket to see Anthony Robbins in London in May. What a way to start the year! For more details go to MyNikken and look for the headline “Nikken First Quarter Incentive!”

We also have another promotion running that will last throughout the year of 2013. It offers you the chance to visit our Head Office in California – with us picking up the tab! Who can say no to that? Again, the qualification criteria means that you will grow and improve your business as a result of winning. It is a double benefit.

We have of course, introduced some wonderful enhancements to our compensation plan this month (as per the announcements in July 2012). We have produced a series of small video clips that will explain them in simple terms should you still have questions. Be sure to check them out on our Nikken Europe YouTube channel.

Plus, my New Years message is online now too 🙂 Follow this link to check it out: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9EhUQ9g8gPs

Whilst there is much to announce, I feel impressed to emphasise the value of the first quarter incentive for helping you build your team and your business. Here are my top 10 reasons as to why you have to make full use of it:

  1. Customers that place three orders over 500PV get free product in April. Statistics show that the more exposure people get to our range the more loyal they are. This will help you keep the customers for longer.
  2. The first 90 days of a person’s experience with this business is critical and this activity helps them engage and get rewarded immediately. This builds a sense of success and confidence which will improve their activity both now and in the future.
  3. If you have business goals for rank advancement and growth, for more commissions and more success, then this promotion will help you to achieve them. It is designed to add value to your experience and turbo charge your results.
  4. This promotion is designed to reward the loyalty of new customers, encourage business builders with immediate rewards – cash in the pocket and help large organisations create momentum through simple, achievable activities that all can understand and apply.
  5. This effort will build towards other incentives that will be held in other months in the year. All promotions this year work together towards helping people to grow their business systematically and strategically.
  6. This promotion gives you a team focus for duplication. A key behind duplicating is that everyone is talking about the same thing. This gives people the same thing to talk about and be rewarded for. It encourages duplication, team work, celebration, focus, and growth.
  7. It requires urgent attention and urgency always helps a team to get excited and to move.
  8. It gives you a chance to reconnect with less engaged people and talk about Nikken. Get people reinvolved and help them enjoy some quick success.
  9. Ask for referrals everywhere you go. Who would benefit from some free product or some cash in the pocket and more commissions? Who is interested? This gives people a chance to prospect more people with a more compelling message.
  10. This promotion helps people to mould their business to be in line with the new enhancements to the compensation plan. If people are struggling to adjust – this will help! If you need more width in your business and need to create new legs – what a great way to start! Use this incentive!

Keep in mind that to qualify for this wonderful incentive – you must as a business builder sponsor your three or five new people this month and then have the consistent product purchases in February and March to qualify. This promotion is all about encouraging consistency in your business. Do the right thing and then repeat it to bed in the right behaviours. I know you can do it! Please spread the messag to your teams and let me know who is in the race. I will do all I can to support you along the way.

Good luck!

How 30 minutes a week can change your business!

One of the biggest challenges that people face in building a successful business – is self confidence! I have seen this in every market I have ever worked in. People want to succeed, believe in the business, believe in others but lack the confidence that they can succeed. This directly impacts their behaviour and of course – their results. Do you struggle with this issue? Would you like to have more belief that you can succeed – and have real conviction that your future can be what you want it to be? Sometimes we look in the wrong places for the answer to this question. The solution is found in how we spend our time . The positive thinking required for personal development is better applied in encouraging us to stick at a task when we want to stop much more than reaffirming “I’m a nice guy”.  When we stick to a task or honour a commitment we will naturally start to tell ourselves we are doing better. Self belief grows on a subconscious level. We influence it by what we do and what we do determines who we are and become. How we spend our time therefore determines what we ultimately think of ourselves.

We all have a dream of what we want to achieve, we share our vision with each other but we lack the details in the process of how to move from where we are to where we want to be right? The truth is, what we do with our time will determine what we get later on. Planning is simply predetermining future events. And when you map it out with clarity, you bring your future right into the present day and feel its reality. When this happens – your confidence grows because you can see the steps to take and feel the benefits of them when you do.

I would therefore like to suggest some simple tips to planning well.

1. Find a place to plan that is relatively free from distractions.

2. Review your long range goals and objectives.

3. Make sure the number of tasks and the amount of time required for each is well within the time available in your day.

4. Set specific daily goals.

5. Anticipate obstacles. We don’t need to be negative here, but we should do a “quick think” about the prospects for unscheduled happenings in the day.

6. Prioritise your tasks. Not all tasks were created equally and we need to learn to measure the value of each activity.

7. Remember – urgent does not equal important. Don’t get distracted from your most important activities.

A friend of mine once said “a goal is a planned for event”. I would encourage everyone to take at least 30 minutes at the beginning of each week to plan their time and focus their week on the things that matter most. When it comes to building a Nikken business – please get your head in the Smart Start Guide and start right there for defining key activities.

“Doest thou love life? Then do no squander time. Time is the stuff life is made of!” (Benjamin Franklin) When we use time well we grow in productivity. When we grow in productivity our belief in ourselves grows and we feel good. This is a virtuous circle that continues to grow and expand – as does your success, happiness and self belief.

Give this a try and I promise you, you will experience a difference within one week!

Kindness, Generousity and Envy

A story was once told of an employer who hired people on a daily basis for a day’s labour on his farm. Men would line the street each morning waiting for the truck to arrive and select the needed number of people for the days work. As the men were selected the payment for the labour was agreed. Throughout the day however, the need for more workers increased and so the farmer would return for more men. Nearing the end of a particular day he came back one last time with just one hour remaining. These men were grateful to get any work and so they readily agreed to work but with little thought of what payment they would receive. In this town, if you didn’t work – you didn’t eat, so they were grateful for anything they could get.

At the end of the day the workers lined up for their payment and to the great astonishment of the last called labourers they received a full days wage when they had only worked just one hour. The generousity of the employer and his compassion upon their circumstances was greatly received. What an act of kindness he displayed. However, envy set in the hearts of some of those first picked even though he had abided by their agreement. He had picked them first and they enjoyed a full day of work with the peace of mind that they would be able to afford to buy food to eat at the close of their day, but when they compared their payment with those later workers they were discouraged and upset. One or two of them even threw their payment back in disgust and walked away empty handed, choosing to feed on their envy that evening instead of a home cooked meal.

Some people view the farmers decision as unfair. People were not treated equally and others worked harder and longer for the same reward. However, the message of the story is about the importance of being kind and generous to others and of our personal need to avoid the minefield of envy.

In Nikken, as in other businesses, we are faced regularly with opportunities to show kindness and to be generous. Whilst rules are always honoured and kept, from time to time a personal circumstance requires a different perspective to a given situation and an chance to be kind arises. I have seen throughout my career an added difficulty in choosing to be kind when other people become envious as a result. Some try to make the act of kindness a required display of generousity to all in order to be fair and to consider the hurt feelings of others who may learn of it. The challenge with that is – that when you are equal to all and make life consistently fair and even you remove the opportunity to ever show kindness to anyone at all.

It is true that the world is not fair – but that is a good thing. How else then could we show consideration to others, be generous with our time or possessions and be kind to others? It is the very existance of unfairness that allows us to reach out to others and show acts of kindness, to build relationships, to give of ourselves. But as soon as you make that a rule – you destroy its very exisitance. Kindness cannot be a rule – it is above it. Generousity can not be prescribed – it is the very unprescribed nature of it that makes it what it is.

Nikken will always strive to be kind and generous. We will always seek out what is best versus simply what is good. A small few may get envious of this approach if they see someone else become a recipient of a kind act, but their small mindedness will not impede our commitment to move forward and pursue greatness. Envy can be the death of kindness to some – but for Nikken – kindness will be the death of envy to those we serve.

Nikken Now March Success

This post has been a long time coming – with all the market visits for our product launch I am only just getting around to announcing our wonderful winners of the March Nikken Now Session. I am pleased to say that the team “Eye of the Tiger” from Sweden, led by our Diamonds Linda and Kennert Bengtsson are our winning team! Congratulations. In just 30 minutes, a team of five set 31 appointments! A great outcome and the results are still coming through in their business. One of the great things that impresses me about this team is that whenever there is a call to action or an invitation to step up and be counted – I can always count on their support. Thank you for being great leaders in this activity.

I must also say a special thank you to all the teams that came from Finland! We had a record attendance from this market with many of them generating fantastic results.

We will of course have more Nikken Now Sessions and of course our next one is on Tuesday the 17th of April. Same times and same numbers. Be sure to check out MyNikken for more details. Thank you all – and lets spread the word! We want to get past the 1000 appointments mark with this activity. I know we can do it when we all pull together.

See you on our next call!

March Madness!

Dear All,

I just wanted to say a big THANK YOU for making the March Nikken Now Session a great success. We had new teams from across Europe joining us – again producing hundreds of appointments in just 30 minutes. Over the next few days I will be announcing the winning team for my region that qualified for the free dinner, so please be sure to stay posted. If you haven’t emailed me your results from the appointments, please do so ASAP.

This month has been manic with my travels taking to France, Germany, Spain, Austria, Denmark, Sweden, Romania, Hungary and this weekend – Switzerland. What a schedule. But it is sooo worth it. The Product Launches have been a wonderful success and it has been an absolute pleasure travelling Europe with Roger Drummer. He has been a huge hit in every market. Of course, the highlight for me has been to meet with so many Consultants and feel the sense of team work as we build together to make your businesses a thriving success.

Without question – the opportunity to build a Nikken business is getting better and better. We need ro raise our voices higher and let the world know that amongst the chaos – reassurance and peace of mind can be achieved when you partner up with us.

I look forward to getting out to meet more of you. Keep spreading the word!

It’s Time to Get Ready

It is just a few days away until our next Nikken Now Session. Last month we confirmed just under 700 appointments in just 30 minutes across Europe. What a tremendous result. I am confident that with preparation and a little promotion we can get more people involved and more people ready to set appointments. Please email me as soon as you have your team ready and prepared so we can count you in.

I would like to point out a couple of things that will help you succeed in this acitivty.

1. Do all you can to have your Nikken Now session in your home (or the home of someone in your team) with your group. The energy created by being together pays off big time.
2. Remember the purpose of the setting appointments is to sponsor new business builders as soon as possible. You want partners to build the business with to get your residual income.
3. People respond to energy and enthusiasm – be excited on your calls. Strangely – people can hear you smile on the phone. It literally changes how we speak and you can hear it when talking to someone.
4. People rarely make decisions based on facts. They make them based on feelings. For example, people have all the facts required to know they should quit smoking, but they don’t until they feel they should. A health scare typically provides such a feeling to move them to action. What changed in this example is not that they learned more, but that they felt more – and then committed.
5.  Share your feelings of confidence and belief. Feelings are contagious and those that you speak with will feel your energy. They will also absorb it and it can become a part of them too.
6. Get as many people in your group joining you to increase the excitement and the sense of urgency. It will build momentum.
7. If you do not have a team to work with – join in anyway. I was so impressed by the individuals that emailed in and said they were a part of the European team and they started from there. Brilliant! No one is excluded or left behind.

Let’s make this next Nikken Now Session even better than the first. I look forward with great excitement to see what happens. Over the next month or so we will start to see the impact of this activity and I believe that you will see it too – in your business and your commissions. Enjoy and good luck!
