KurtFulle copyDear Nikken Wellness Community,

As we bid farewell to 2019, I am grateful for the many memorable experiences of the past 12 months. There was the Recognition event in Mexico City, the Nikken North America Anniversary celebration in San Diego and the Team Kaizen trip to Italy. There was the Diamond Seminar in Toronto, the European Inspire event in Paris and a North American Leadership Summit. And finally, there was the opening of Chile. All of these activities gave me the chance to reconnect with old friends and make new friends. Every one of these events gave me an adrenalin rush!

I am also grateful for your unwavering belief in sharing Nikken Active Wellness with so many people who are in dire need of our products. There can be no more rewarding activity than introducing people to the 5 Pillars of Wellness. Your dedication to creating Wellness Homes everywhere certainly is an example of Humans Being More.

The year 2020 promises to be a very exciting year for our Global Wellness Community. Here are a few examples of what’s ahead for us in 2020.

In Europe and North America, Nikken will rollout cutting edge IT platforms for our website, shopping cart and back office.

We will continue to introduce new and improved products that customers will want and need.

We will provide you with more great tools that will make it easier to sell products.

We will celebrate 45 years of Active Wellness in New York City at our global convention.

We will host another European event in Paris, another Diamond Seminar in North America and another Leadership Summit in North America.

And qualifying for Team Taishi or Kaizen will offer exciting excursions in 2021.

Together we will improve the well being of people in all corners of the world. In helping others, you can benefit directly from the various rewards that are a part of our Incentive Program. We will do all of this while being respectful of the environment.

On behalf of all of us at Nikken World Headquarters, I would like to wish you a healthy, happy and prosperous New Year!

Best Wishes,

Kurt H. Fulle

Build Your Personal 5 Pillars Mindset

5Pillars Blog Banner

Recently I had the privilege of attending a Nikken leadership summit that was conducted by our sales and marketing team, led by President Luis Kasuga. Our CEO,  Mr. Fulle, was also in attendance. I came away with various nuggets of information and inspiration to work with in the coming year. Perhaps you can make use of them, too.

  • The original 5 Pillars of Health, when literally translated from the Japanese, really should be the 5 Pillars of “Wellness.” Wellness inherently connotes well-being, whereas health involves potential illness and therefore, possible cure. At Nikken, we help people with Active Wellness, achieving and maintaining well-being, never in curing or healing illness. Living with Active Wellness is an ongoing process that can always be improved upon.
  • The Family Pillar translated literally from the Japanese, really should be the “Relationship” Pillar. Families are doubtless the most important segment of all the relationships we choose to build or maintain over the years. Relationships are more far-reaching, so do not limit yourself to your family when building this pillar.
  • In Japanese, the literal translation for what we call the Society Pillar is actually “contributions.” There are people everywhere who need your help, which means there are infinite opportunities to serve. Using Nikken as a vehicle to serve does not mean just sharing the beneficial products. It means sharing yourself, as you are the actual contributor to the people you interact with. In the words of the original Nikken founder, “You are irreplaceable because you are you.”
  • We need Nature. Nature doesn’t need us. We need to be good to Nature and help preserve her, because we need her. In other words, the environment doesn’t need saving—it has been around for ages and will survive with or without humans. We, however, need the environment to support our well-being, so we are responsible for keeping it clean. We are responsible for being respectful of Nature for our own survival.
  • What is your legacy? What do you want your legacy to be? At Nikken, we share the ideal of Humans Being More. We share it but we don’t supply it. In other words, each individual has to commit to being more. It is a personal choice proven by positive behavior and service. We can role model it – that is a worthy legacy. What else can you add to your legacy?

I hope you had a wonderful 2019 and wish for you and yours an even better and more empowering new year of 2020. Remember, “Our past doesn’t define us. It provides lessons for the future.”

Be the best you can be!

Be the best

Personal development is the process of understanding ourselves so that we can strive to reach our full potential and become the best we can be.

Personal development affects every aspect of our lives. When we grow and develop as individuals we feel a sense of achievement, satisfaction and fulfilment. Becoming our best selves, being aware of the opportunities and possibilities, being more motivated and positive in our outlook affects not only ourselves, but also the ones close to us. Being focused on our own personal development is not selfish. On the contrary, it opens us up to becoming more open-minded and observant of the needs of others. Working on ourselves to become a better person benefits those around us.

Here are a few tips on what you can do to improve your life:

1. Make small choices for the better. Make positive choices and decisions that will lead you to a more fulfilling life.

2. Do something for yourself. Do something that you love, just for yourself.

3. Do something for someone else. The sense of satisfaction you get from helping others is priceless.

4. Define your own success. What is most important to you? What do you want to change? What do you want to learn?

5. Make sure your work and personal life are balanced.

6. Spend your time on the things that matter the most to you.

7. Practice Self Care.

8. Set goals for what you want to achieve. Set goals for your life that motivate and inspire you. Set goals that are specific and attainable.

9. Make a Life Cycle Plan.

Personal development gives you the opportunity to get clarity over your own vision for your life. Learning new skills and improving yourself drives motivation and increases your confidence. When you are self-aware and know yourself your social relations will also improve.

At Nikken we believe in the potential of every individual and ever since our company was founded 44 years ago in Japan, we have put focus on personal development with our training called Humans Being More Silver Training (HBMST). We believe that everyone can become their best self and that we as a community have a responsibility to help others live more fulfilled lives. Our philosophy is based on living a life in balance in what we call the 5 pillars of Health. With focus on having balance in these five areas of your life; Mind, Body, Family, Society and Finances, our HBMST training has helped thousands of people achieving a better life for themselves.

If you are interested in attending one of our trainings, contact your Nikken Consultant or contact Nikken at UKsupport@nikken.co.uk.

Make the Decision to Succeed…

MD-KF blog banner logo

Kaizen is a Japanese term meaning “continuous improvement through positive change”. Recipients of the Team Kaizen award have the opportunity to experience an extraordinary leadership position within Nikken.

2018 Team Kaizen members had to create at least one Quality Enrollment every month of 2017 and develop four or more new frontline Silver Consultants throughout the year. Even though he has qualified for Team Kaizen 2018, Royal Diamond Michael (Mike) DiMuccio continues to lead and sponsor new Consultants as he approaches 27 years with Nikken. Why? He has set himself a goal to be a part of Team Kaizen 2019.

Explaining why he was so intent on qualifying for Team Kaizen, Mike says:

“I wanted to prove to the Nikken Family, especially those following me, that even though I am at the Royal Diamond rank, often associated with ‘resting on our laurels’, that it could be done. The point was for me to remove all excuses and legitimate reasons for not getting it done. It was the consequence of making a decision. Enlist the support and direct involvement of your active upline and create a daily to-do list and calendar of events. Tell people why you are doing what you are doing with Nikken and invite them to help you do it – directly, or indirectly. Create new Silvers. No one becomes Silver just because. This achievement requires a focused effort on the part of the Consultant and their sponsor.

I have asked newly sponsored Consultants to join me in the effort to achieve a Paragon Award and Team Kaizen. The majority of volume that we have generated was from retail sales, which is a big plus in the new compensation plan. Of course, building a team is of a higher priority, but doesn’t hold back the potential for a Consultant to achieve the Silver rank mainly on his or her own steam. Contact with my running friends, ABC meetings and calls were top on the list for daily activities. Asking for ‘help’ and referrals became the means to connect to more people.

Everyone loves a deal, so extending product incentives to my Consultant’s prospects became a way to encourage immediate action, like offering a Naturest® Pillow for a Sleep System or a PiMag® Water Bottle for a PiMag® Waterfall. And now, with our new Wellness Home Packs, we have a built-in incentive!”

On his way to becoming a 2019 Team Kaizen member, Mike says: “Setting a goal and achieving it is one of the most empowering feelings in the world. I’m staying on top of my 3000 PGV monthly, mainly with the same strategy as before. I personally am also taking advantage of the new Wellness Packs to have products to loan to prospects and to promote the built-in incentives.”

In summary, here are the five main actions required with the “DiMuccio strategy” in order to join Team Kaizen:

  1. Make the decision to succeed.
  2. Ask your active upline for help and support.
  3. Create a daily to-do list and a calendar of events.
  4. Sponsor new Consultants and create new Silvers to build a team.
  5. Generate retail sales to increase volume. Maintain 3000 PGV monthly.

Next month, Mike is hosting the upcoming Humans Being More Summit together with a fellow Royal Diamond Bo Tanas in Toronto.
